Professor Schabas to Teach Course on International Criminal Law at Geneva Academy

Professor William A. Schabas, Associate Member of 9 Bedford Row International, is to teach an upcoming short course on international criminal law at the Geneva Academy in Switzerland. Titled International Criminal Law: General Principles and International Crimes, the course will focus on the history of international criminal law and how it relates to both the international legal order and national justice institutions.

This course is part of the Geneva Academy Executive Master in International Law in Armed Conflict and is open to: diplomats, lawyers, legal advisers, judges, NGO staff, human rights advocates, media specialists, professionals working in emergency situations, UN staff and staff from other international organizations. The deadline for applications is 5th October 2017 and the fee will be 1150 Swiss Francs.

International Criminal Law: General Principles and International Crimes is set to take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday 5 October 18:00-20:30
  • Thursday 12 October 18:00-20:30
  • Thursday 19 October 18:00-20:30
  • Thursday 2 November 18:00-20:30
  • Thursday 23 November 18:00-20:30

The course will held at Villa Moynier, 120B Rue de Lausanne, Geneva
