Invitation – Oxfam: Lawyers Against Poverty

By

On 8th October, a panel discussion will take place, focusing on the legal, policy and operational issues of forced migration and what lawyers can do to make a difference.

Additionally there will be accounts from people working on the front line of the current migrant crisis, whether they have been aiding migrants in Sicily with legal advice or helping with complex legal and practical problems encountered everyday by refugees in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.

The event will be held at The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1PL. It will initially run in the morning from 8.30 – 10am and again from 6.30 – 8pm. Speakers include the Deputy Director of Campaigns and Advocacy for Oxfam Italy: Alessandro Bachini, and Protection Officer in Lebanon for Oxfam GB: Nour Shawaf.

Please RSVP to jsalsbury@oxfam.org.uk if you wish to attend and state whether you will attend the 8:30am slot or the one at 6:30pm.
