The Leitner Centre for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law School, New York, recently published a 90-page report titled “International Criminal Tribunals: A Visual Overview”. The report provides comprehensive summaries and detailed visualisations on each of the international tribunals: the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL), the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC).

It chronicles the events that led to the establishment of each court, the crimes they are charging, the status of individual cases as well as a breakdown of costs, funding, conviction rates, sentencing and reparations. Its analysis also engages with the procedural and practical difficulties each court faced.

The report is clear and methodical, written in an accessible manner, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of these issues. It is a valuable tool for legal professionals and the general public alike.
