IHRDA’s Case Law Analyser

By

The IHRDA in The Gambia defends victims of human rights violations before domestic and regional judicial bodies. It also makes sure that the judicial decisions lead to positive change. IHRDA has recently set up the Case Law Analyser which is the first multilingual free-to-access collection of human rights decisions of African supra-national mechanisms of its kind. ARC‘s Director, Gillian Higgins, barrister at 9 Bedford Row who has used the website champions its release as a practical tool facilitating access to justice for lawyers and individuals alike who are seeking to understand human rights in action. In recognition of its continuous hard work and commitment in defending, educating and informing about Human Rights in Africa, the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights presented IHRDA with its Human Rights Award during the 52nd Ordinary Session of ACmHPR held in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire (9-22 October 2012).
