ICC Postpones Hearing For Landmark Timbuktu Destruction Case Until 1st March

The International Criminal Court has delayed the pre-trial confirmation of charges hearing in a landmark case against Ahmad al-Faqi al-Mahdi. Faqi is an alleged Al-Qaeda militant who stands accused of ordering the destruction of monuments in Timbuktu.  The case will be the first time the ICC will consider the destruction of historically important monuments and buildings of religious significance. The hearing has been rescheduled to 1st March.
