Ex-Bosnian General Pleads Not Guilty to 1992 War Crimes Charges

By

Naser Oric, an ex-Bosnian Army general, has pleaded not guilty to charges of war crimes that he is alleged to have committed against prisoners of war in 1992.

Oric was charged in August of this year for allegedly having a role in the killing of three Bosnian Serb prisoners of war in the villages of Zalazje, Kunjerac and Lolici. The charges come after Oric was previously acquitted of war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in 2008.

The trial is set to commence in 30 to 60 days.
