Eeva Heikkila Elected Chair of the Human Rights Lawyers Association

Eeva Heikkila of 9 Bedford Row has been elected as the Chair of the Human Rights Lawyers Association.

The Human Rights Lawyers Association aims to promote the effective legal protection of the human rights and fundamental freedoms in the United Kingdom and to further research, education and training in the areas of human rights law and practice. The Association also aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge about human rights law and to aid their effective implementation within the United Kingdom’s legal framework and system of government.

The Human Rights Lawyers Association is open to all connected with the law and the legal profession who have an interest in human rights law in the United Kingdom. The Association currently has over 1800 members including solicitors, barristers, advocates, judges, government lawyers, legal academics, legal executives, in-house lawyers, pupils, trainees and law students.
