The Democratic Republic of Congo has been asked by the United Nations to repatriate its peacekeepers from the Central African Republic after they failed to meet required UN standards.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric revealed that Congolese troops had two reviews by peacekeeping officials and were found to have “only partially” met UN requirements “in terms of equipment, vetting and preparedness.”
