British Government Asserts Role of Foreign Judges in Sri Lanka’s Domestic Probe

The British Government has asserted that in order to secure its validity, Sri Lanka’s domestic accountability process needs ​the involvement of ​foreign judges​. Hugo Swire, UK Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office noted the importance of the participation of Commonwealth and other foreign judges and defence lawyers in Sri Lanka’s judicial accountability process.
