Bosnian Authorities Detain Ex-Policemen for Crimes During Bosnian War

By

Authorities in Bosnia have arrested three ex-policemen who are suspected of committing war crimes against non-Serb detainees in 1992 during the Bosnian War.

It is alleged that the trio killed at least 10 non-Serbs as part of a wider massacre of more than 150 prisoners that were due to be transferred to detention camps.

One of the former policemen is Darko Mrdja, who has already been convicted for war crimes in 2004 by the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia and released in 2013 after serving a 17 year sentence.
