Bosnia Indicts More Than 500 People With War Crimes

By

Bosnia has revealed that in the last ten years it has charged 509 persons with war crimes that were committed between 1992 – 1995.

The alleged crimes range from genocide to crimes against humanity, with some cases involving acts of sexual abuse. Of those accused, 235 were indicted in the last two-and-a-half years.

Bosnia’s state prosecution has highlighted the need to co-operate with other countries in the region so that suspects who have gone into hiding can be put on trial.
