This month, Ben Joyes of 9 Bedford Row’s extradition team successfully resisted extradition on human rights grounds on behalf of a requested person diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. District Judge Goozee, discharging the requested person, held that to return her ‘to Gibraltar…would have a deleterious effect on her mental health.’ The Gibraltarian authorities chose not to appeal.
