Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce welcomed representatives from organisations including the legal sector to the launch of the new Business Dispute Resolution Service, in partnership with the London School of Mediation.
The service has been introduced in the wake of Government measures encouraging businesses to resolve disputes before they go to court – which include a compulsory early conciliation service.
The new service will offer businesses access to world class mediation training, operating from the Chamber’s offices in Elliot House in Manchester City Centre, along with a mediation service to resolve problems without the time and expense of going to court.
Clive Memmott, Chief Executive at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is a top class service delivered in partnership with the market leader. The demand for both mediation training and mediation services will continue to grow sharply as the benefit of speedy and cost effective resolution to disputes becomes more apparent in the work place. I’m delighted to offer this new service to businesses in Greater Manchester.”
Judith Kelbie, Director, London School of Mediation said “We are delighted to be forming a training partnership with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. London School of Mediation has 13 years’ experience of delivering accredited mediation training courses of the highest quality both within the UK and internationally. Mediating conflict can be quick, confidential and cost efficient. We look forward to assisting both members and non-members to resolve conflict either in business deals or the workplace.”
Training sessions can be booked online at www.chamberresolution.co.uk
