The ADC-ICTY has issued a press release calling for the immediate release of MICT Judge Aydin Sefa Akay, who is currently being detained by Turkish authorities. The ADC-ICTY condemns the arbitrary detention of Judge Akay which is in contravention of Turkey’s international human rights obligations, and calls for his immediate safe release.
